Doom II: **** on Earth for Mac (available for free?)

Hey everybody,

I am new on the internet and wanted to download an oldie but a goodie named Doom II. Everything I find so far is only for Windows.

Does anyone know how to download Doom II for free for Mac? Thanks for any help.

im quite sure that doom II was only designed for DOS, which is a microsoft pre-windows disk operating system.

Im thinking the only way to get it for Mac is to download an emulator.

I play Doom II on my mac all the time through DosBox. But I use a retail copy, but it works flawlessly.

I agree with the others and doubt there is even a Mac version, but if there was you would have to pay for it. A free download would be probably an illegal copy and that is against the rules here at Mac Forums to even discuss.

Just buy a retail copy on cd for like 4 bucks and get dosbox.

I have the Macbook 06 with the GMA graphics card and am not able to play really intense graphic games, thanks to DosBox, I can relive the classics (and pick up games for cheap!).
