Hi there, i want to connect my imac to my new hd tv- i was thinking mini dvi to dvi adaptor then a 10m dvi to hdmi cable going into the telly. Will this carry the audio or just the picture? If anyone can shed some light on this it would be much appreciated.(The imac is on the other side of the room and cant be moved)

This will carry the video only.

I use a mini adapter and a standard optical cable for audio to my A/V receiver.

Hi there, we were having the same problem until we fixed a fibre optic cable between the dvi adaptor and the home cinema system and the sound has come through perfectly.

hope this helps.
