Can't get downloaded apps onto ipod

Hello,

I've just downloaded three applications into my itunes library, two are games and the other is flashlight.

I have synced my ipod afterwards thinking that it would go onto my ipod but i cant find anywhere on the ipod to find applications and the two games arent in my games section.

I'm new to macs and the ipod so please help! thankyou!

I think you manually have to turn on Application Sync in iTunes. It is not on by default.
