Hi there, i have a problem with my mac..

its just under 2 years old, using an iMac 17" with tiger, but iv noticed recently that its running a little slower than it used to... i checked the HD and have 40gb still left..

now i cant remember where the restore cds are as iv moved house during the period iv had my mac. but would like to restore it to its former glory from when i first had it !

If theres anyway to do it, please enlighten me !

A little TLC with a maintenance app like Onyx will help, especially as you haven't got any restore disks

also, is iyt up to date with 10.4.11

You'll need to purchase a set of replacement discs. As I understand it, they run around $40. Contact Apple Tech Support.

With that said, typically UNIX-based operating systems don't require reinstallation as they don't suffer from the same "Windows rot" that you might be accustomed to.

Your best bet would be to run some of the maintenance tasks from a program like Onyx or MainMenu.

Run verify, maintenance and cleaning programs for starters.
