Pages - delete header and footer

Hi...

Driving me nuts so I give up. How can I delete the header and footer in pages?

Nevermind. I got it. Inspector > Document Inspector > Document. Then uncheck 'Headers'.

All the other google searches were talking about the Layout Inspector > Sections tab, which did me no good.

Deleting headers & footers in Pages

But that doesn't work at all! When you next bring up a blank page to work on, it AGAIN has headers and footers!
