Your Mac's Specs
2.0GHz, Intel Core 2 Duo, 2GB DDR3 Memory, 500GB hard drive, NVIDIA GeForce 9400M
every time i open up a program that i downloaded from the internet, i get a message that it was downloaded and am i sure that i want to run it... is there anyway to turn it off or make it learn the programs i use so it will stop popping up?

It's a safety feature. Should only do that the first time you run the app.
