Yesterday I put my white (pre new aluminum MB) to sleep (with lid closed) and I returned a while later and opened the top and the MB would not come out of sleep... the screen stayed black no matter how much button pushing or anything... When I listened I could hear the fans running and the little white light outside of the clamshell was glowing... I had to hold the power button to turn it off... What is causing this and more importantly how can I resolve it?

Thanks and Happy Holidays

try taking the battery out, holding down the power button for 10 seconds, and putting the battery back in

then...

turn on the computer, and right after hitting the power button, hold option+command+p+r

those are the two resets that apple care told me to run if I ever had a problem.

i forgot to add...

when doing the second one, you hold it until the computer chimes twice
