Age of Mythology will this version work on Mac

I purchased AOM V1.1 with 1.03 Exp for my nephew. He has an iMac running OS X 10.3.9 and is having trouble installing. I got it from EB games and it isn't labelled Universal or MAC - have I bought the wrong thing. I suggested he download the universal patch but he has had no luck. Should I check to see if he has quicktime (would be surprised if he doesn't).

Any help appreciated.

Look at the system requirements on the outside of the box. If it only lists Windows Operating Systems (i.e. 98, XP), it will not run on his Mac unless he has Windows installed on it.

Thanks - OK I don't think it does have OS X requirements. So there are cross platform versions of this game but this isn't one of them ???

The Mac version will say "FOR MACINTOSH" on the front of the box and looks like this.

Yes, but if you are lucky enough to be close to the couple of Apple stores in Aussie land now, am betting they would have it.
