Restarting and Sleeping

I used to have a Wallstreet, could not do this, but can you close the G4 Ti top while it is restarting?

Nope not that I know of. I know there is a clamshell mode, but I think you can only use it in OS 9, which basically allows you to close your laptop and the screen displays on the external screen..
