I had another good experience at the Apple Store again. My Macbook had two pieces of plastic break off the bottom of the palm rests. It was dues to how the pieces fit together. Apparently the top panels includes the keyboard and trackpad all in one part. There is a little lip that hangs over the bottom chassis, this is the part that broke off. I went to the Apple store last night and they said they would replace it for free. I got a call this morning before I even woke up from them telling me it was done and I could pick it up. I looked of the repair sheet, it said that it would have cost me $224.06. If I would have had to pay for it, I would have gotten the part from Ifixit and done it myself, but I believe that they have had problems with the plastics on this generation of Macbook before. So in the end I had a good experience and it just reassures my love for Apple products and support.

With that said, I ordered myself a new MBP the other night. 2.54 ghz processor, 4 gigs RAM, 320 gig HDD. Its going to be AWESOME!

What kind of support did you have?

Was it covered by Apple Care?

I only had the original warranty on this, I never bought Apple Care. My MB is a year and a half old so it is out of warranty, the genius told me that it would be covered anyway.

Its the new 2.53 GHz, 4 GB RAM, 320 gig HDD. It does take a little getting used to with the new trackpad though, I like it.
