so my ipod crashed last night when i plugged it into my MBP and all of the files disappeared. however, i have everything back up on an external drive so it's not that big of deal.
this is my question....
i have an older 30g model. prior to crashing, it said i had 24g of music on there. when i went to search the ipod after the crash, there was no music to be found. however, when i plug it in and load the main itunes page it still says i have 24gb worth of files on there....
the catch is that they are listed as "other" and not "audio."
were these files moved? can i access them from somewhere else? ive looked all over the device and can't find them but find it interesting that i still have the same amount of data on the drive.
suggestions?
