Hardware Compatibility Check

Just a quick question to the community, will this item:

External DVD Writer

Work on my iMac 2.66GHz (current gen iMac)

The reason I ask is because the burner on my iMac has died and I NEED a dual layer burner.

Most of them do as it is just access via usb so I would think it does.
