I currently have a macbook which is 2.4 ghz and 2gb ram, I would like to move over to a desktop because it will be easier for me. I would also like to play the odd one or two games which It wont let me do on here. If I am to upgrade the memory on the imac to 4gb do you think this will be good enough to play games on and will it be faster then my macbook?

Thankyou

An iMac is certainly a better machine for playing games since it has its own dedicated graphics and memory. However, the amount of system memory while important, is only part of the equation. Games (especially Win games) require a fast graphics card with plenty of memory.

If you decide to purchase an iMac and can afford it, get the best graphics card available. You can always add system memory to the machine yourself as Apple memory is more expensive. Adding memory to an iMac is user DIY.

Regards.
