file type association

how do i associate file type to a program? i've installed adobe acrobat reader 7.0. but when i open up PDF files, it still uses preview.

If you want all .pdfs to open with acrobat. Then select (click) on one of the .pdf files. Next do a command i (get info). Near the bottom you see open with, choose from the drop down menu acrobat. A little bit lower you will see a button change all. Click that button, then anytime you double click a .pdf file it will open with acrobat.
