I need to expand my tastes.. For all you guys who drink dark beers/stouts, apart from Guinness (and related), are some good beers?

I've heard Alexander Keith's Stag Head Stout is supposed to be really good, but I can't find it anywhere. Any ideas?

What does Canada have in the way of imported beers? This is not meant as a patriotic trumpet blast, but some NZ dark beers are magnificent. I've already mentioned Emersons, then there's Mac's Black, and Monteiths Dark Ale.

I should probably share this picture, I titled it "Essentials" but I really wish I had left a ketchup bottle in the background

I don't live too far from DC. When I go, I like to visit here:
The Brickskeller & RFD Washington DC

The best beer I've had there so far was a Kasteel Donker. So dark, but not heavy. When I'm drinking semi-local, I like Corsendonk. I've also had a Dogfish Head Raisin D'Extra. I drank one on an empty stomach and I was about drunk. I think it's 24%abv. Good stuff.

On most nights sitting around town it's Miller Lite, Bud Light Lime, or Boddingtons. Unfortunately, WV has this stupid law where they can't sell beer over 6%abv unless it says malt liquor on it. That's why I like going to MD.

I have a friend that said he'd supply me with the needed goods to brew my own beer. That's going to be fun.
