Hi all, I'm new to Apple's computers and just bought a Macbook Pro. But I have some newbie questions so don't laugh 
How do I figure out when my laptop was made? ie, if it's the updated late 2008 one or the one made in early 2008 which supposedly has video card problems >.< Is it possible to know from my serial number, if so how? My specs are 17"/4GB 667mhz DDR2 ram/320gbHDD/2.5ghz/1920x1200res if it helps any. And the model number is A1261 according to the box.
And how do I find out where my HDD rpm is? I checked under System Profiler, but all it says is the capacity, but no rpm. The I can't find my DVD drive listed there either. Or am I not looking in the right place *scratches head*
