My macbook seems to be working fine, but the little light on the front (the sleep indicator?) is never on. When I close the lid the light does not come on and pulsate. It's been like this for about 5 or so months and I can't figure out why. I've searched everywhere online but can't find an answer. I don't have applecare so I can't call and ask. And there is no apple store near me.

I hope someone will know why this is happening. Has anyone experienced something like this before?
