hi
I have had my Macbook for about 4 months now and it has been amazing. Not one problem so far.
I don't have a television anymore because i'm a student and refuse to pay a license fee, however i want to connect my ps2 or even playstation 1 to it. Is there a way to do this? (to use the Macbook screen as the monitor obviously not to control the games)
I am using the previous white model of Macbook. 2.4 ghz 4gb ram
any ideas?
thanks in advance for any help/suggestions

Is the UK the only country in the world that has a TV license?

Don't you have over the air (broadcast) TV? If so, just how would they know whether you had a TV, computer tuner card, etc. sitting somewhere in your home receiving signals or not?

What, is that what pays for the programming - so there are no ads on TV?
What's the scoop?

And to answer your question - you'll need a TV tuner card or video capture card to do that. Can't tell you how good it will be. You can check out Elgato.

In UK to own a TV u gotta have a license because the government own the BBC, which has no adverts on. But anyway i don't have an actual tv now either so its irrelevant.
Just looked at elgato!!! £160 for the device

Anyone know a cheaper way?? Please...There must be one...

There is no other way - you will need a tuner / video capture card.

You'll not be able to connect any type of external device like that to any computer without one.

As for being cheaper, google is your friend. But, Elgato is pretty much accepted as the best for Mac's.

And from what I read about it, you'll need a TV license with that type of device also.
