How do these processors compare?

For example a MacbookPro 2.4ghz core2duo vs a Mac Pro with 2 x 2.66ghz Dual Core Xeon?

I've no idea if one setup is blatantly better than the other!

I know multiprocessor stuff is very much context specific... I'm mainly using Logic Studio.

Thanks

The Mac Pro machine also benefits from a much higher front side bus and L2 cache. The Macbook Pro simply wouldn't hold up performance wise against a Mac Pro.

Even the very earliest iterations of the Intel Mac Pro as compared to my 2.4ghz Core2Duo?
