I work for Montclair State University and we're trying to get a hold of a better alternative to image our Mac systems. Currently this is the proccess we go through. If you have any suggestions It'd be much appreciated. Thanks very much in advance.
Create OS X Image
Carbon Copy Cloner (http://www.bombich.com/software/ccc.html)
Boot from External Firewire Drive(see above)
File>Clone to Folder
Choose Location to Dump
Select Source Disk (Disk copying)
Preferences(Check)
-Create a Disk Image on Target
-Prepare for Apple Software Restore
Click "Save"
Click the Lock
Enter password
Click "Clone"

Dump OS X Image
NetRestore (http://www.bombich.com/software/netrestore.html)
Boot from External Firewire Drive(see above)
Click "Browse"
Choose Image file to copy
Select Target Disk (Disk erasing)
Options(Check)
-Erase Target Disk
-Verify restored disk
Clock the Lock
Enter password
Click "Restore"
