Is a case necessary for the 4G iPod nano?

Im buying a iPod Nano 4G in a couple of days and was wondering if a case is really necessary? Iv heard many people say that they have been using it for a long time and still no scratches on the screen or any where else for that matter.

Just wanted to hear some opinions on this.

Depends.

If your going to baby it and make sure it's safe and everything then no case should be needed.

However, if you just toss it around and throw it in your pocket with change and keys then a case should be bought.

i would say yes, i bought s screen protector + full body protection and a plastic case and a siliconce case for around $15 on ebay
