Corrupt Audio Clips

After publishing my movie (using iMovie '08), exporting it to iDVD & finally burning it to disk, several of the background audio clips seem to have an "embedded" popping sound that increases & decreases simultaneously with several of the audio tracks (always in the same place). This only occurs when the disk is played on my home DVD player; not when played on my 2 Macs.

However, other DVD disks played on the home DVD player work fine.

In curiosity, I deleted all of the background audio clips in my iMovie to see if there might be an errant audio clip embedded beneath. Nothing.

Can someone offer me some guidance?? I really would appreciate it. Thank you.
