ARTISTS are the same artists but seperating?!

I dont understand why IPODS and now the IPHONE is doing this

why is it, that even though its the same artist, it will separate and make two of the same artist! How can i control this?!

So my iphone will look like this:
Artists section:

Acceptance
Britney Spears
Cherish
Cherish
Flowbots


Why does it do that!!! even when the artists name are spelled correctly and all that. PLEASE help!

Yep, and the easiest way to fix it:
Go into iTunes and highlight all tracks by that artist.
Get Info - and re-type the name

Of course, it won't help your iPod until the next time you sync.
