Im still under warranty and my CD drive makes this really loud noise and only reads discs half the time. I was wondering if anyone knew if the apple store would be able to fix something like that without me having to send it in?

Most of the time they can replace a defective CD\DVD drive in the store. It may take several days depending on their workload and whether or not they have the drive in stock.

Regards.

They did mine same-day, but the parts were in stock. Go ahead and schedule an appointment.

When you make the appointment tell them the problem and they may get a drive in just in case it needs swapping out.
