Hi All!,

I've just installed MAMP on my MBP using Tiger.

I get this problem when I try to test the site. http://localhost/filename.html

Failed to Connect

Firefox can't establish a connection to the server at localhost.

Though the site seems valid, the browser was unable to establish a connection.

* Could the site be temporarily unavailable? Try again later.
* Are you unable to browse other sites? Check the computer's network connection.
* Is your computer or network protected by a firewall or proxy? Incorrect settings can interfere with Web browsing.

Thanks

Have you started the web server? I haven't used MAMP, but that is the first thing to look into. You might also have to check the firewall to allow for a web service, although I think in that case you would get a 'connection refused' message.
