So I got the iPhone 3G yesterday

I am very impressed so far with the phone and the apps installed.....the only problem I have is battery life.....but I think it will get better once I let the battery go all the way down so I can do a 100% charge.

The apps I have downloaded so far:

bContacts = Business Contacts app
Bloomberg = Stock market app
Go Green Free = Gives free green tips
Goodguide = Gives places and reviews on green products
Hangman = Game
Loopt = Tracks locations of other iPhone users that are friends
Mondo Solitaire = Solitaire Game
My Budget Money = Budget Calculator
Oil & Gas = Gives up to date info on price of oil
Pandora Radio = Radio
Scriptures = Religious things
Urbanspoon = Resturant locator
Big Oven = Recipes

I love the 3G. I am glad that I upgraded.

Yeah, the battery life SUCKS that was the first thing i noticed. There are some tips to keep it through the day, but if you have everything going like -
Email Pushing
Wifi
Brightness all the way up
No Dim settings on
and surfing the internet all day
Your battery life will probably only last for a few hours.

These if you follow that advice alone it can double even triple your iphones battery life in a day. But ive been in situations where after 4 1/2 hours from a full charge my iphone was dead. (i was on an airplane)
Congrats on your purchase.

I upgraded from the original iPhone and I couldnt be happier. I feel like the calls are louder and clearer and it feels alot better. I definitly recomend the shazam app too. I can't tell you how many times I've used that thing in the car.

I just got my 3G 2 weeks ago, I liked it very much, I would say it's so far the best phone I've ever owned~ it's fun, and you can do so much stuff on this phone! I am just glad I upgraded!

Only downside like dinkjs said~ battery life, if I am constantly using Iphone, lets say playing games, especially surfing net, it drains the battery like crazy. Fully charged battery will only last me about 3 hours or so~ oh well.....I still love it!

I'd get one in a heartbeat! But, the problem is the monthly bills here in canada and the initial $199 in price. If someone would buy my ipod touch.....

the holidays are here so with the worldwide economy being crap, everyone is looking for a deal. Post it up here in the forums and list it locally, hopefully that will get it off your hands and into someone elses.

Getting an iPhone 3G after the first of the year. Want to get the expenses of the holidays out of the way first, there are still a few gifts left to get for my husband. And it gives me something to look forward to beyond the holidays.

best phone ever made!

battery life does suck on normal usage but when i was on holiday and turned off roaming, 3G, wifi and location services it lasted a week on a full charge... but then it's as useful as a brick in your pocket...

This phone is the best thing of your life... ha ha. Enjoy it.

Dont worry bout battery thats not what you bought it for.

Until I read this thread, I thought I had a bad battery. Now, I see that sucky battery life comes standard with the iphone. That is my only complaint with an other wise brilliant device.
