Photo Booth pictures disappeared mysteriously

I had some photos in the Photo Booth folder so I moved them in Adobe Bridge to a different folder and then Batch-renamed them along with some older webcam photos i've collected over the years from other webcams. All the photos were there except for the Photo Booth pictures which just disappeared.

How is this possible? Is there a way to save them? Since I've moved then I didn't leave a copy in the original folder. Has anyone encountered this?

I'd appreciate some help or advise
