I think 2GB. To be sure we need more info on your system. Is definitely a CD and not a C2D?

Well my last gen Penryn Macbook Pro would take 4 gigs, my new Unibody MBP will hold 8 gigs for windows and 6 for OSX. So yea, give us some more details about your rig.

Head over to OWC. They have great info. Just pick out your type of Mac and then next your model from the drop down lists.
