We have all seen the Bare Feats comparisons of the 2.53ghz and 2.8ghz models of the Macbook Pro, but what about the 2.4ghz model? We know that it has 2gb less ram, slightly lower CPU power and a 256mb GPU (vice a 512mb GPU), but how does this translate into a performance change?

Does anyone have benchmarks comparing the three Macbook Pros? (Bare Feats compares the 2.53ghz & 2.8ghz Macbook Pro versus the 2.4ghz Macbook)

that is pretty good comparisons but what about the old MBP vs the New MBP?

I don't think it's worth 500 dollar jump. If it was like 300 then maybe. Seems pretty minimal to me.

What are you trying to do with your mbp? Gaming? If so, which games? If you aren't heavy on games, are you doing something else that requires top performance?

Sometimes you don't need the top of the line stuff.
