Does the Griffin iTalk drain the iPod battery?

I want to get something to conduct interviews and possibly podcasts. I've heard good things about the Griffin Pro. That being said, my battery is old and doesn't have as much power as it used to. Does the Griffin Pro drain a lot of battery power?

you might as well forget it if the ipod is over 1 year old. it will drain some battery life and since you don't have much of that, you may have some problems.
