I seem to have a thing for srt101's (my first camera). I need to make a display case for my old bodies, including the polaroids I have

I just bought a Canon 24-70 f/2.8L. It should be at my house and in my collection tomorrow. Now all I need is a 17-40 f/4L and I'll be golden. I'll get pictures of my box collection when I finally get my 5D MKII.

Before the 5D and the 24-70, most of my money was spent on lighting. I have nearly $1000 in radio triggers.

I use a Samsung S1050 Point and Shoot - Serves its purpose and can produce a decent enough shot when pushed.

And I also have this, 1981 Minolta XG-M, which my Grandad gave to me last year some time before he died.

I do a lot of wide angle portraiture with a Sigma 10-20 when I can get my hands on it. 17mm is still not going to be as wide on a 5d as the 10-20 was on my 30d.

Nikon D40 with 18-55mm kit lens, 55-200mm for telephoto, and an SB-400 Speedlight. Also a Canon Powershot A75 for when you don't want to lug the full gear bag.

(Say 'cheese') The little flappy thingee is the case on the strap for the Nikon IR remote.

Post processing is done on a Macbook 2.0Ghz C2D with Photoshop CS3, with Samsung SynchMaster 225bw 22" external LCD because the Macbook internal screen doesn't seem to get the colors right. Printing done on an Epson Stylus Photo D200, but it's a little dysfunctional color wise, but it prints directly to inkjet printable CD/DVDs so I tolerate it. Pro-type printing I do at Walmart.

The wife shoots with an Olympus E510 with similar spec'd lenses for her rig. She does the post with Photoshop CS2 on her black Macbook C2D.

I currently use a D300, with a SB-600. Which was an upgrade from my 2 year old D50.

Post-Processing is done on my Macbook Pro, using Aperture and Photoshop CS4.

nikon d40 and the best all-around lens you can put on it for the price–which is the Sigma 17-70 f2.8-4.5–one of the sharpest lenses around and can be found for around $300 new on ebay if you keep your eyes open.

Coelakanth - you make me feel really old! I too have a trusty Minolta XG-M with Tamron zoom and Vivitar Wide angle. Haven't used it for a while since going digital so it's nice to see a quality picture of it - thanks. A good little camera in its day.

I have a Canon 15mm f/2.8 Fish Eye lens that should be delivered to my house today. And I'm still waiting on the new 5D2.
