Not sure if this is the right place to put this, sorry. But I was wondering if anybody knew a really good spyware/antivirus/firewall for the Macs?

There are no spyware or viruses that affect OS X at this time... thus a complete lack of spyware software. There are AV software packages, but they exist to keep you from sending on Windows viruses to others. You have no risk whatsoever of being affected by a virus in OS X.

As for a firewall... OS X has one built in.

Yes. OS X is the name of the operating system that runs on modern Apple computers, much like most modern PCs run on Windows Vista.

So my Mac will be safe against any viruses Limewire can give?

Again, there are no viruses that run on OS X at this time. So while you could still potentially download a Windows virus, it would have no effect on OS X since it can't run. With that said, I wouldn't recommend Limewire for a variety of other reasons, most namely that you are reliant on the developers for securing the openings that Limewire creates in order to share content.

Are you referring to Limewire only or all free music downloaders? I can't be paying a dollar per song when I have over 1000 songs that I want.

Limewire in particular. Do note that discussion of illegal activity (like stealing music) is prohibited here.
