Switching over Applecare on a MAcbook?

White Macbook 2.4ghz, 2gb ram, 160gb hd,superdrive, OSX Leopard
Basically i bought my first macbook in october of last year and enrolled that product with the applecare protection plan but since i broke that one and was replaced with a new one via house insurance i wanted to know if it was possible to transfer the applecare over to my current model?

you have to call them and tell them you got a new macbook and go through the process over the phone. i called before and ask when switching to a MBP
