I was hoping someone might be able to help me with a basic question. I was given an almost new LCD monitor, but the 15 pin signal cable obviously is not a compatible connection with my good old G4 dome desktop.

Apple sales points are so few and far between in my part of the world. So I'm not sold the wrong cable by the young guys who populate the world of PC accessory sales, what's the correct name of the converter cable would I need ?

Thanks

"G4 dome desktop" = G4 iMac?

If so, you just need a miniVGA to VGA adapter (Apple VGA Display Adapter) to connect a VGA-equipped LCD as a secondary display.

I have several of these adapters available (brand new) at

Apple Hardware, Software, & Accessories Available

Drop me a line if you are interested...otherwise you can pick one up from Apple for about $20.

Edit: Shipping to Australia from the U.S. is probably cost prohibitive for this item; best to find one locally. :)
