Please help! Can't get out of safe mode

Am new to this forum, looking forward to participating...

Can someone help me? I am stuck in what appears to be "safe mode" (this is my new Mac) after I used a projector to run a powerpoint presentation...

Can't figure out how to go back to regular mode....

A simple reboot should do the job.

Mac OS X: Starting up in Safe Mode

You have fully quit the application prior to rebooting?

After turning off your computer, unplug it, wait at least 30 seconds, plug it in again and then turn it on.
