Hi

I have a macbook, but the USB & firewire ports stopped working out of the blue, power is going to them, using YASU fixs the problem but only for a short time.

I have checked disk utility the USB sticks or firewire don't show up but they do on the system profiler also noticed when closing the macbook while its on cause the usb sticks to disconnect? & recently they disconnect without being taken out.

The problem is kinda randomly happing..

I have tried PRAM, hardware check both didnt work , i think its a permissions/ software problem as when I plug in my iPod or a mouse, they work.

Anyone know a solution to my problem:'(

MACBOOK IS

2 GHz Intel Core duo, with latest OSX

My default shows only Bluetooth Sharing selected and active, remainder of boxes are blank if that is any help.

Nice thin gs worked out and memory sticks, cheap or otherwise, will have a certain per cent fail. It is thjeir nature considering what is required of them.
