Screens other than Apple Cinema???

I have settled on buying a lightly used Mac Pro Dual Quad core 2.8ghz. Im buying it used for marginally under retail cost so i need to go with a screen not manufactured and priced by apple . Im looking for something in the 24"-30" range. I will be using this computer primarily for the editing, cataloguing and printing of digital pictures, as well as some 1080p video clips. So i need something with an emphasis on good colors and picture sharpness.

Have a look at both the NEC 2490 and 2690, many rate these as the best price/quality for photo editing, and have recently been upgraded, compared with Apples now old Cinema Displays.
