OK, I'm confused. I am running iphoto 08, 7.1.5. I can see all my photos in gallery type view but when I click on some, not all , but most to magnify or upload a black screen comes up with an explication point. The crazy thing is these worked a few months ago. It's almost like they are locked. What can I do.

Usually when you get that, it means that iPhoto cant find the pictures. Maybe you accidentally deleted them.

Did you do any organizing or any other modification to your iPhoto library in finder (that is, now from within the app)? That would cause the problem you are having.
