Car Charger/FM Transmitter

i bought two different ones today, when i plugged them in i got a popup on my iphone saying i have to turn on airplane mode and won't be able to make and receive calls. is there any charger/transmitter that doesn't do this? did i buy the wrong ones or something?

Yes... you did buy the wrong ones. You need one that is explicitly iPhone compatible. I use this one myself. There's quite a few others out there.

i'm looking for one that charges while being able to play mp3s through the radio. that one seems like it's strictly a charger.
