ibook 10 key not working on any keyboard

This has been going on for about 2 years now. I took it into the Mac store and they had no clue what the issue was. I have a Mac Wireless keyboard and a corded keyboard and neither work and when I do attempt to use the 10 key on the wireless my whole computer freezes. The 10 key on the corded keyboard does not even respond the num lock will not light up nothing. I have done the keyboard updates etc.. nothing helps. I am running Leopard OS and I have a ibook G4 12 inch, the corded keyboard is new. Is there anyone out there who may of heard of this problem?
