• The Mac-Forums Community Guidelines (linked at the top of every forum) are very clear, we respect US law and court precedence when it comes to legality of activity.

    Therefore to clarify:
    • You may not discuss breaking DVD or BluRay encryption, copying, or "ripping" commercial, copy-protected DVDs.
    • This includes DVDs or BluRays you own. Even if you own the DVD or BluRay, it is still technically illegal under the DMCA to break the encryption. While some may argue otherwise, until the law is rewritten or the US Supreme Court strikes it down, we will adhere to the current intent of the law.
    • You may discuss ripping or copying unprotected movies or homemade DVDs.
    • You may discuss ripping or copying tools in the context that they are used for legal purposes as outlined in this post.

New to the Forum. I have created some home movies with FCE 3.5, exported as Quicktime Movie, and built a DVD with a menu using iDVD 06. The first DVD I burned directly from the .dvdproj file, using the Superdrive burner in my iMac running Leopard 10.5.5, and then I burned that file to a disk image so that I could move it to my G5 PowerMac, also running Leopard 10.5.5, to burn more copies on its Superdrive. I can't get Disk Utility to burn the disc image file to a DVD on either machine. Is that a flaw with Disk Utility, because the iDVD instructions suggest that should work. Also, now when I go back to my original .dvdproj file, I can burn additional copies of the project to DVD, but they do not have any audio. Help. :Grimmace:
