I literally just got a new macbook, I have used the ichat and photobooth applications a couple of times and everything seemed fine. Today I opened my computer and attempted to open up the camera but the image was blank except for a little picture of a video camera with an X through it. I tried opening ichat to see if the problem was photobooth related, but on ichat it said that there was no camera connected to the computer. any ideas what i should do? or do i have to resort to bringing my computer in to be fixed...and then not seeing it again for months. any info would be fantastic. thanks!

The very last device shows 'USB High-Speed Bus'
Built-in iSight

That is what you are looking for. I did this screen capture to show you where it should be. Your configuration will very from mine.

Yeah mine has nothing after USB High-Speed Bus.

Than it looks like your Camera isn't been reconized by OS X. Might want to do a SMC and/or PRAM reset.

Might be off hand... what version of Quicktime are you using? I had an issue with Quicktime and Final Cut Studio on my MBP.

This isn't the best way to do it, but delete the Quicktime App from the Applications folder... download pacifist and download Quicktime 7.5 for Leopard, and install it with Pacifist. Reboot your Mac and try using Photobooth, to see if you get a 'Green Light' and the camera coming on.

Send me a PM with your MBP specs if possible.
