Additional Video Memory?

So I recently picked myself up a Macbook (Unibody, 2.4, 2GB, 250GB, 9400M). Although the 9400M uses 256MB of the system memory, if I was to increase the system memory to 4GB, is there any way I can also increase the memory used by the graphics card? Would this improve my video quality at all?

I'd love to have 4GB of ram in my Macbook, and 512MB of that used for graphics if possible.

Thanks,

Craig

Good Question!

I know on some windows machines you can change the allocation in the BIOS. With MAC's not really having a BIOS I don't know where or how you would make this change.

I don't really know if you would get much performance difference even if you doubled the memory.

There is said to be a nominal difference between the 256 and the 512 discrete cards in the pro's, probably even less of a difference in just slapping more shared memory.
