Very slow iPhone 3G sync

20" Aluminium iMac 2.4GHz Intel Based 4GB RA
I've had my iPhone 3G for a good few months now and it seems to be taking quite a long time to sync. For example i plugged it into my mac the other day and it took over an hour to back up and sync. Is anyone else experiencing something similar or know of a fix?

Did you update to 2.1? This problem was fixed for me when I updated.

I have noticed that, for me, the longer I go between syncs the longer it takes to back up. Even after the updates.

Try removing some of the extra apps you don't need.
