dock creation tools

Ok, still a newbie here, I searched for the answer but could not find it in the current forum.. While watching TV last night, a great idea (to me) came to me for a dock "theme". Are there any apps or programs that let you design or create your own dock? Basically its just putting my own pics on it. Any help will be appreciated. (sp?)

I'm not positive this is what your after, but try and look up quartz. you can download xcode from the apple site for free and this comes as part of it
