Mini Mac Crashed On One Account.help

Hi just joined the forum,thank you for the welcome.Reason i joined is i need help as my mini mac 10.5.5,with leopard has all but crashed on one account.I have two accounts and one works perfect the other crashed.I have the constant spinning wheel, i tried repair disk permissions but with no success. i suspect some file or files corrupt but not sure as how to find them and fix . I have read about disk warrior and wonder if it will fix my problem or should i bring the mac to a pc doctor.Hope someone out there might have a solution.
