Hi,
I have a MacBook and my husband has a PC. He uses the flash drive USB 4GB Kingston between the two machines. Recently he put the flash drive in the MacBook and it didn't recognize it in the finder. Went back to the PC, worked on there. Tried another different flash drive in the MacBook and it didn't pick that up either. Works on the PC. What gives? Is there some sort of thing I can tune? Thanks!!!

So it used to recognize the drive but now it doesn't?

Not sure why if that's the case..

is your flash drive NTFS format? or FAT32?

Hi,
Yes, it used to recognize the drive. We've used it seamlessly between the PC and Mac for a year and a half now. All of a sudden the Mac won't pick up either flash drive.
The flash drive the problem started on is this kind:

Kingston's DataTraveler 4GB USB Flash drive - Apple Store (U.S.)

I cannot find anywhere in the description if it's NTFS or FAT32? ???

THanks so much for any help you can offer. I appreciate it.

It shouldn't matter what format it is, if it used to work it can read it.

Right click on my computer, click on manage, then go to device manager, uninstall all the USB drivers, then restart the computer.

Oh wait... crap, don't know how to trouble shoot a mac, go to the genius bar and have one of those idiots play with it I guess.
