Installer problems

I was wondering if anyone could help me.
I rebooted my Mac OS back a while ago due to problems. It was all fixed but then i tried installing a game. I got this message:

Installer

Sorry, an error has occurred while launching the installer.
(LaunchApplication -1)

Any clues of how to solve this? I've tried repairing the disk permissions but did not help

Need more info. Did you download the game from the net or was it purchased on DVD or CD? And, which game is it?

It is a dvd and the game is WoW Wrath of the Lich King.
I had the same problem with the other expansion Burning Crusade and that was resolved by the information on the CD being downloaded in during patch updates which they do.

OK, understand. Check to see if they've issued a patch for this latest episode and if it's compatible with running in Tiger.

ty for help. they usually release the patch a couple weeks later after release. I suppose i must wait then :s
i think its a wow not a mac problem anyways since i managed to install another game successful.
