I had a stack on my dock for Downloads that has been replaced by a "?"

The stack and it's contents are missing in action!

There were 3 things in there that I downloaded recently. This is the second time this has happened...is there a time limit on how long 10.5 will store stuff in a stack??

Any ideas would be appreciated...

Thanks for the lead to the other posting.

I'm aware of that, but in my case I didn't trash the contents. The Downloads stack folder was sitting there (just like my documents stack) with 3 things in it. I turned on the Mac and the stack was gone and replaced by the "?"

What kind of files were they?

They were updates for Toast 8 and 9 downloaded from the Roxio site. They are still in my downloads folder on the HD but the stack on the dock disappeared?

Very strange!
