Hi I currently have the following Mac G5 that we use in our company

Two 3.0GHz Quad-Core Intel Xeo
4GB (4x1GB)
4xATI Radeon HD 2600 XT 256MB
320GB 7200-rpm Serial ATA 3Gb

We are currently running this Mac from 5 screens. As this is for a trading company the trader has multiple trading windows open with thousands of flashing fields that consistently are changing prices and showing this with different colours (red/yellow).

One thing we have noticed is that the machine seems slow down during busy trading hours and taking everything in to account we feel the issue may be with the graphics card be over worked.

Is there any way we can check the performance of the graphic cards memory?

As each card has 256mb, are we able to monitor the performance of this some how?

Thanks

Perhaps you can check out the internet connection during the slow periods using Speedtest.net. We are seeing slowdowns also during heavy trading sessions. Our download speed is 6MB per sec and it is not our connection but the server we connect to. If your office shares a connection then someone downloading a movie/radio station or other connected sites will share the bandwidth.
